DECA Policy Forum 2025

Trade Digitalisation Roundtable

NSW Parliament House March 13th SYDNEY

DECA POLICY FORUM Trade Digitalisation

DECA POLICY FORUM Trade Digitalisation 2025 at NSW Parliament House, Sydney.

Participants may already be aware of how Digitisation is driving economic growth through improved efficiency, programmability, security – and transparency, in more mature ecosystems, elsewhere on the global stage. DECA will be heavily leveraging the array of assembled specialist expertise to maximize the quality of the roundtable’s documented recommendations to the Australian Parliament in June.

Significant industry impacts have been made visible with real-time tracking supply chain, trade document tokenization, title verification & transference, instant & atomic payments including RTGS, and disintermediation of trade finance distribution/origination opportunities for the continuum of SMEs to larger Corporations, especially considering the increasing #MLETR regional adoptions and harmonization.

Contributors to this notarised focus group will not only enhance the Australian government’s understanding of ‘Digital Trade’ but also deepen their appreciation of how evolving technologies, nascent regulations, and the business activities of fellow participants – and neighbouring regions – across the value chain are currently generating tangible productivity and social value.

Discussants will be asked to contribute their views on how they might see strategic approaches of the various emerging advancements implemented – to enhance domestic and international trade processes, and how they might develop and be supported at the coalface.

The end game is to help lead Australia to greater social and economic inclusion – all while maintaining (or increasing) standard levels of security, data protection, and endpoint practicality for all stakeholders and users.
