ACITI Trade and Trade Finance 2025
ACITI Trade and Trade Finance 2025: International Trade and Trade Finance in the Digital Economy Conference, ANZ HQ.
This second edition of the ‘Trade and Trade Finance in the Digital Economy’ took a more pointed focus this year on Friday, with the Australian Centre for International Trade and Investment choosing to inject more Web3 into the various Regulation, FinCrime, MLETR, Finance, Custody, and Payments conversations.
Reflecting the broader political climes, the momentum has palpably shifted to increased ‘business appetite’ and matured ‘technology support’ over these last 12 months, as, aside from the standard respect given to regulatory and legislative themes and topics, just about every panel and presentation acknowledged that the shift to readiness was now becoming more from a grassroots initiative, and driven by economic hunger.
I was blessed again to be included in another vanguard panel, raising the temperature up another degree for DigitalAssets – kudos to Pauline Kirk for bringing myself, Lucia Uen, Jason Hunt, and Mizu Ardra all to heel.
Futher notable mentions; Simon of ChainDoX Trade Docs dApp built on the XDC Network was a rockstar in and out of the booth, as was intern-of-the-moment, Antony Kean. Loved the opportunity to meet all our other XDC VIPs at this Trade event: Chiraag 🟠 of Greythorn Asset Management, Leon Ploubidis of Kasu, and Effie Dimitropoulos of AUDD – Australian Digital Dollar. You guys rock!
And, as mentioned on the day – for that special business that is ready to bring an Export to life on Blockchain, to an MLETR region – we have all the pieces in place. DM for that opportunity. Project Snowstorm
My respect and thanks to Dr Prudence Gordon and Bryan Clark for the care and attention with TradeDigitalAus2025 – and the able hands of ANZ via Damian Kwok, Vanessa Lapeyre, and Zaph Kanyi, in what was a very well-run and professional conference event.
Finally, hats off to Import Export TV for the media coverage – and the input of all the sponsors and event partners who made this all possible for yet another year.
Participants may already be aware of how Digitisation is driving economic growth through improved efficiency, programmability, security, and transparency, in more mature ecosystems, elsewhere on the global stage.
The end game is to help lead Australia to greater social and economic inclusion – all while maintaining (or increasing) standard levels of security, data protection, and endpoint practicality for all stakeholders and users.
