On September 10th Sean was at the Australian Parliament House for DECA’s latest Digital Economy Industry-Government Networker.
This session turned its attention to agentic commerce and what happens when AI agents begin discovering, negotiating and transacting on behalf of people and businesses.
With contributions from Mastercard, XDC Network and Validata, we explored what this emerging model could mean for payments, identity, trust, infrastructure and regulation.
These sessions are designed to create a regular bridge between industry and government, particularly around technologies developing faster than traditional policy cycles. Agentic commerce is a perfect example of why those conversations need to begin early.
