INTERSEKT FinTech 2024! XDC Australia’s Sean White, once again arrives in Melbourne

INTERSEKT FinTech was BACK and XDC Australia’s Sean White fronted up. What seemed like an eternity since 2023 edition, Intersekt returned with a more stripped back and community-curated format. 

The inclusion of the Treasury Department on Day 1 was a fairly large deal. Assistant Treasurer, Stephen Jones took to the stage to outline the current Goverment’s appraoch to integration of Tech into the broader Finance sector – before another Jones followed.

Brad Jones, assistant governor of the Reserve Bank of Australia and deputy chair of the Payments System Board, talking about the future of Australia’s Central Bank Digital Currency – making the fairly fresh statement that the retail can would be kicked down the road, with wholesale application of CBDCs was certainly in focus!

There was plenty of roundtables, panels and keynotes over the 2 days – and of course plenty of off-site dinners etc for more nuanced conversations.

XDC’s Presence

INTERSEKT FESTIVAL was also an opportunity for XDC to showcase its innovations.

Sean was proud to represent his company and engage with all attendees on matters of Tokenisation, Finance, Payments and Trade. He had the chance to introduce attendees to XDC’s groundbreaking projects – including XDC Trade Network – a complete suite of dApps for Digitalisation of Trade and Payments – and discussed potential collaborations with other FinTech and Trade innovators.

The emergence of DigiChain Innovations was a hot topic of conversation – as the local Web3 specialists are currently curating an MVP with local Aussie Exporters.
