ITFA Trade Digitalisation Conference 2025

The ITFA Aus/NZ Regional Trade Digitalisation Event—organised by the International Trade and Forfaiting Association (ITFA) Australia and New Zealand Regional Committee (ANZRC)—was a focused, high-level gathering championing the adoption of digital solutions in trade finance across the region.

ITFA is the leading global trade association representing banks, financial institutions, and service providers in trade risk, forfaiting, and asset origination/distribution.

The event took place on 12 November 2025 at Macquarie Group HQ, 50 Martin Place, Sydney, NSW 2000, generously hosted by Macquarie and proudly sponsored by Assuro and Marsh.

The program explored the future of trade finance through discussions on trade digitalisation, innovation in processes, digital negotiable instruments, blockchain applications, and regulatory advancements to drive efficiency and adoption in Australia and New Zealand.

It featured industry leaders, expert panels, presentations, and interactive sessions aimed at fostering collaboration among professionals in trade finance, fintech, banking, and related sectors.

This targeted event brought together key stakeholders to address emerging flows, evolving practices, and practical steps toward digitising trade, building on prior ANZRC summits (e.g., the 2023 Supply Chain Industry Summit also at Macquarie).

It emphasised real-world implementation and regional leadership in global trade transformation.

Post-event, it reinforced Australia’s role in advancing trusted digital trade infrastructure, with strong networking and forward momentum for the sector. This flagship ANZRC initiative highlighted progress in digital trade finance.
